When we released our first single, DCAL, it got 1100 views in a week. Modesty has gotten about 4000 views on Youtube, 1000 on Baeblemusic and a couple of hundred on Vimeo.

Not too bad in our world.

The thing is that even though we’re moving in the right direction we want more. And we realize that the only way to get more is to do more.

The best way for YOU to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the SPECTASTIC things to come is to follow us on Facebook. You do that, and we’ll go make a new video and record some new songs.

Our goal has always been to make videos that look like a million bucks, but costs…not a million bucks. You know, because we have no money. And because it’s fun making stuff that looks FANTABOLOUS without spending the equivalent of a small country’s GNP on it.

With Modesty we decided to work with 3D and CGI. You know, because it’s the future. And because our friends Björn and Nisse knows that stuff and are willing to work for free.

Anyway. Our idea was to release the video around Christmas. You know, as a present to ALL THE FANS.

Enter: post production.

We don’t know if you have ever worked with 3D and CGI but we can tell you that it is a female dog. Especially when you find out that you really don’t know what you’re doing. Christmas became New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Eve became the end of January, the end of January became when ever it’s finished, stop asking all the damn time, OK?!

And here we are. The video for Modesty is – and we shit you not – almost finished. In real money it has cost us about 2000 Swedish kronor ($280). But, when we add the man hours it’s the most expensive video ever made. It’s like the Avatar of music videos.

How poetically beautiful this post would be if we posted the video now. We won’t.
You know, because it isn’t finished yet.

We called God and asked her/him/it if she/he/it knew of a way to solve the issue. She/he/it told us that she/he/it (cute cat) had just started following a website called Funded By Me on Twitter and that they probably were the answer to our prayers (pun intended).

So we’ve started a campaign where you pre-order our non-existing album. In return for your contribution you get – a part from the actual CD – a thanks in the booklet and an invitation to our release party. For the single largest contributor there’s also an added bonus: you will get to come down to our studio and play on one of our songs AND you get a signed t-shirt with a cute kitten on it.

That’s why we’re happy to report that Baeblemusic.com has written a nice review of our work. It’s a small step for The Fix, but a giant leap for …well. The Fix.

It’s hard work recording our debut album, but someone has to do it. Who else could? You? That would just be wierd – you’re not even a member of The Fix. Do we look like Milli Vanilli to you?

That’s just mean.
